Reader Moments is a place for the everyday photos and stories that are easy to overlook — a much-loved pet, a cozy corner at home, a rainy afternoon, a favorite mug, or a small moment that simply made you smile.
We invite readers to send us photos and stories from everyday life for a chance to be featured on Oakwood Daily and across our social media channels. We’re not looking for perfect homes or professional photography. We want the real, personal details that make your home and everyday life feel like yours.
Sometimes, We Make It a Little More Fun
Every so often, Reader Moments becomes a reader photo challenge or small photo competition. We’ll share a theme and invite you to show us your take on it.
It might be a seasonal photo, your coziest corner, a favorite everyday object, a beloved pet, or something completely unexpected. You don't need to be a professional photographer or own fancy equipment — just bring your own eye and a moment worth sharing.
Selected reader photos and stories may be featured on Oakwood Daily and our social media channels, always with credit to the contributor. When a photo competition includes a prize or specific entry rules, we'll clearly provide the details with that challenge.

We'd love to see what you're sharing, but please make sure you have the right to send it to us.
Only submit photos you took yourself or have permission to submit. You must own the copyright in the image or have permission from the copyright owner to give Oakwood Daily the rights described below.
Please don't submit photographs taken by someone else without their permission, even if the photo is of you, your pet, your home, or your family. The photographer may own the copyright.
If other identifiable people appear in your photo, make sure you have their permission to submit the image and for Oakwood Daily to use it. For children or minors, please have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Don't include private, confidential, or sensitive information in the image or caption that you don't want shared publicly.
By submitting, you give Oakwood Daily permission to publish, reproduce, display, crop, resize, format, and share your submitted photo and accompanying caption/story on Oakwood Daily's website and official social media channels.
This permission is non-exclusive, meaning you keep ownership of your photograph and can continue to use it yourself or give permission to others.
Oakwood Daily may choose whether or not to publish a submission. Submission does not guarantee publication.
We may make reasonable edits such as cropping, resizing, formatting, or adding editorial presentation. We won't intentionally alter a submission in a way that misrepresents the contributor or their story.
We'll credit the contributor where practical when a submission is published, using the name or credit information provided with the submission.
If a submission is selected for a competition, any additional prize, eligibility, judging, or usage terms will be provided with that specific competition.
You retain all copyright ownership of your image. Submitting an image does not transfer copyright to Oakwood Daily.
What Happens Next?
Once you send your photo or story, our team will take a look. If we think it's a good fit for an upcoming Reader Moments feature, we'll contact you or publish it according to our submission guidelines.
Selected submissions may appear on Oakwood Daily and our official social media channels, with credit to the contributor.
